Drivers of Dissolved Oxygen in Rangeland Streams within the Upper Feather River Watershed, CA

Title
Drivers of Dissolved Oxygen in Rangeland Streams within the Upper Feather River Watershed, CA
Abstract
Repeated exceedences in DO levels at 3 valley outlets in the Upper Feather River Watershed (UFRW) (CA State designated cold water fishery) triggered a study to identify specific drivers of DO. From June-September, 2008 water samples were monitored in situ over a 24-hour period for temperature, DO (mg/L & % Sat), pH, EC. In addition, air temperature, flow and aquatic vegetation were assessed and samples analyzed for turbidity, TSS, pH, EC, DOC, N, and P.
