Abstract
New design criteria (HMR 36 and HMR 58) were used to determine Probable Maximum Precipitation for Pyramid Dam. The new calculation procedures resulted in greater precipitation numbers and therefore higher needed freeboard levels at the dam.
Purpose
Old PMP design standards can result in flood risks.
